Creating is my way of expressing myself. I looove shooting new content for my blog and instagram – even though it can be quite time consuming.
I shoot most of my content alone, in my room, with my camera set on self timer. It takes a while to get it right but I bet some of you know the struggle. Then comes my favorite part – the editing. I love seeing how much I can improve a raw shot and take it to the next level.
I use Lightroom to make a selection and color correct my photos and then transfer them to Photoshop and do some final touch ups there. Then, being the perfectionist that I am, I might edit them in Lightroom again.
I’ve had more free time lately and I felt more inspired to create content, that’s why I try to post on instagram every day. It really helps with my engagement and reach and I also gained a few followers which is a huge plus. I know that followers and likes are just numbers and I don’t bother myself too much with it but after being stuck at 4.6k for the past six months it sure feels great to see the number finally go up a bit. It’s sad to see smaller profiles like me get such bad reach when a lot of us work really hard on the content that we post and then our posts don’t even show up on anyone’s feed. Anyways, I’m not complaining in any way (maybe a little), I’m just happy I got the inspiration to shoot back.
Even though I love shooting and editing by myself I would also like to get into photographing other people. It’s been on my list of things to try for the longest time now but I just can’t get myself to do it. I did take some photos of my friends, but it wasn’t anything serious and I didn’t really get too invested. I also don’t have the best equipment or a lot of knowledge so I’m a bit insecure, but I have a project to do for my photography class so I’ll have to push myself to do it.
Thank you for reading and hope to see you back on my blog soon! x
