I’ve been raving about the luxury Kérastase haircare products many times before – how the Nutritive line fixed my damaged hair and made them strong and soft again. In today’s post I’m introducing a different line, the Elixir Ultime and why I like it.
My hair is naturally really thick and hard, it holds curls very well but it starts to tangle after a few days after washing. The Elixir Ultime line is perfect for giving the shine and smoothness back to your hair. It nurtures your hair with 5 different luxury oils (including Marula) which guarantees a 48 hour long shine and softness. It’s perfect for dull hair that just need that extra something to make them look amazing again.
I love the Kerastase shampoos, they do still have sulfates but my hair feels completely different than after washing with a cheaper shampoo. I shampoo once, only on my scalp and massage it well. I rinse throughly and makes sure there are no residues in my hair. After that I either apply a hair mask on towel dried hair and leave it on for about an hour, or I use the conditioner and then rinse.
I always leave my hair to dry naturaly to at least 50% and then use the fan and a round brush to do a quick blowdry. After that I finish off with the Kerastase Nutritive Magic Night Serum which works overnight and gives your hair a even better shine and smoothness.
The Elixir Ultime line is perfect for normal hair that need a bit more shine. It’s especially good for the summer, because it’s a bit lighter than the Nutritive line so your hair is more flowy and shiny. For me it’s the best, most luxury line from Kerastase and it feels like you’re visiting a very expensive hairdresser, just that you get it for a fraction of the price.
