Nailspiration – Nude Colors

Today’s post is an inspiration for your next manicure. I’m personally a big fan of neutral colors, in fashion and beauty, so of course my manicure is almost always in nude colors. Here is a selection of my favorite nail art and my current favorite products.

Simple nude nails

My go to (especially in the lockdown) are the simple, monochromatic nails. I’m a big fan of all things nude, especially the more neutral tones that are similar to my skintone. I usually don’t like my manicure to stand out too much and since nude goes with everything it’s always a good choice. My favorite colors right now is the Beige Leger 22 color of the YSL La Laque Couture. It’s the most perfect nude, a bit more on a warm side but still neutral enough.

In case you get bored of single color manicure but aren’t a fan of nail art you can still switch it up a bit. You can choose your favorite neutral shades and paint each nail in a different color.

Nude nail art

If you get bored of simple, monochromatic nails then nail art is the perfect solution. There are so many different options and ideas which you can either copy or use for inspiration to create your own, unique designs. My favorites are the simple dots or stars, they’re so easy to make but can take your manicure to a whole another level!

If you’re feeling more creative you can also play around with different designs. I really love the trend of messy brush strokes in different colors – they look so effortless yet so professional!

Perfect manicure at home

A lot of the nail salons have already opened up but in case you still want to do your nails at home here are my recommendations.

If you want the real gelish manicure at home you can of course buy a led lamp for manicure. If you simply want your nail polish to last a bit longer and are unsure about doing your own gelish you can simply buy a gel top coat. My favorite is the Rimmel Super Gel Step 2. It’s a really cheap option but I kid you not – my nails stayed on for 2 weeks with only a few minor chips.

I do my nails by firstly shaping them into a desired shape, getting rid of any bunks and then applying the base coat. After that’s dry I’ll apply two coats of nail polish and draw on any art if I feel like it. The last step is two thin layers of the gel top coat and then I let it dry completely before washing my hands or touching anything. Do this and your manicure will last for two weeks minimum!

Thank you for reading! Don’t forget to check out my last post and I’ll talk to you soon.
