New in skincare – June 2020

I’ve been testing out some new skincare products for the past month and I discovered a few favorites that I want to share with you.

Neostrata Refine Clarifying Cleanser

I’ve ran out of my usual daily cleanser (the Cosrx Salicylic Acid one) and I wanted to order a new one, but it was out of stock. I was devastated of course because I had finally found a cleanser that works for me perfectly, but I decided to give Neostrata a try. I’ve been using the Neostrata Refine cleanser for a few weeks and I must say it’s one of my favorites!

My skin was in horrible shape after all the stress from traveling back home for more that 24 hours and this cleanser was a life saver. My skin was back to normal in a week. It slightly foams up when you mix it with water, but it still doesn’t strip your skin. I use it in the evening after cleansing with the cleansing oil.

I would recommend it for oily and acne prone skin, since it contains salicylic acid which helps with getting rid of the excess oil. It also contains gluconolactone which help with water absorption and for a barrier on your skin to protect it. Aside from that it contains almond acid which helps with oil balance, glycerin and tea tree oil.

As you may know I’m a big fan of hyaluronic acid but I’ve only been using it as a serum. I came across this Super Aqua 10 Hyaluronic Acid toner from Missha, which is from the same line as their hyaluronic acid serum and I wanted to try it out.

So far I’ve been loving it. It leaves your skin feeling super moisturized and fresh, which is never a bad thing. I also love the fact that it comes in a 200ml bottle so you have it for a really long time.

Pyunkang Yul Moisture Cream skincare

I was in desperate need of a new, lighter moisturizer because of my oily skin. I was using the Cerave moisturizer before, but it didn’t work that good with sunscreen and my face would get really oily during the day. A lot of skincare enthusiasts were raving about the Pyungkang Yul on instagram so I decided to give it a shot.

I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The cream itself is really light and you can layer just about any sunscreen over it. It moisturizes and nourishes the skin and leaves it with a healthy but non greasy glow. It is for sure my new favorite moisturizer and I would recommend it to everyone.

There is also a nourishing cream version, which I would recommend for dry skin and in the winter time.

That’s all for today’s post. Follow me on instagram for more and keep an eye out for a new skincare post.
